Sir Arthur Cochrane

Tomorrow’s coronation is the first since 1911 where my great grandfather is not officiating, I'll be with the vegetables

I am pretty sure that I will not be watching the coronation. That is partly because I am a lifelong Republican but largely because I am in charge of my two year old daughter Jaya this weekend and she would describe it as a “boring daddy programme” and demand loudly and repeatedly that we switch over to Peppa Pig. So as my neighbours are glued to the goggle box, Jaya and I shall be planting rhubarb, broad beans and carrots in the garden which she greatly enjoys.

Tom Winnifrith Photo Bearcast: Was this another Zak Mir brown envelope job & should I buy Yourgene?

Eldur Olafsson of Amaroq (AMRQ) thinks I am a member of the British establishment. I explain why I am not. No doubt Sir Arthur Cochrane would view me as he viewed his daughter, my grandmother, as a “traitor to our class” But I am. and explain why with reference to Eldur’s company. Then it is onto Zak Mir and the Okyo (OKYO) scandal. Your link to his video is HERE. And the photo below is of Zak himself relaxing today at the Carlton Club. That is the establishment today which makes me so hostile to it all and determined to be a simple goat farmer. Then I answer a, rather unfair, question on Yourgene (YGEN) before looking at Argo Blockchain (ARB) and Angle (AGL)

The family papers – a night of revelation and shocks

The Mrs and the children are breaking lockdown rules with her parents and so left to my own devices I stayed up into the small hours combing the family papers picked up from my late father’s house last week. It was a night of shocks and revelation and having discussed the matter with my father’s sister L, I wonder what I should reveal. Perhaps all.

Photo Article from the Welsh Hovel: Jane Tomlinson, My Grandfather in his Brideshead days & the portraits of a naked ex girlfriend dilemma

We moved to the Welsh Hovel 21 months ago and still we have some things in cardboard packing boxes. Not a lot but enough. But as rooms are renovated, one by one, and furniture is added, gradually those boxes can be unpacked. In a month or so I shall also be picking up more furniture from my late father’s house in Shipston including two more Victorian bookcases and so this week I have been going through those cardboard boxes.

Photo Article from the Welsh Hovel - the 1600s Kitchen is almost reborn

The kitchen should have been ready by November 8. It is not yet finished. But, as of a couple of days ago, it became usable and last night we cooked a meal on and in the Aga for the first time and then The work unit with the Belfast sink should be completed January 20 by when a few other remedial works should be done. But we are now, as you can see below, settled in for Christmas. I start with the newly exposed arch which was once the front door looking into the room from the main house. On the wall opposite is the Mrs, the Aga and the old bread oven from the 1600s.

Photo article: Will I solve a 145 year old mystery this week? Who was Maude Winnifrith? DNA tests going out today!

Maude Winnifrith was born in 1875 and was my great grandmother. Her children included my grandfather, Sir John Winnifrith and the actress Anna Lee – once known as the British Bombshell. But who was Maude? The mystery has intrigued the family for decades and this week I hope to solve it once and for all with the assistance of a retired vicar in Oxfordshire, my father and two DNA tests.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Like Sir Arthur Cochrane I'm trapped by the past so can't buy more gold shares though I am sure I should

I discuss why, like my great grandfather, I’m paralysed by an historic event. This means I am not buying more gold shares although I know I should. Right now c20% of my portfolio is gold exposed and I go through some of the stocks I own and explain why I think gold and gold stocks will surge. I know I should buy more but can’t bring myself to do so. Today i shall be recording another 9 videos for MineProphets. Make sure you book your ticket for next Saturday HERE

Photo article from the Greek Hovel -don't my new shelves look amazing?

The brother of the infamous carpenter was as good as his word, coming back on Friday and Saturday of last week to finish the shelving in the master bedroom, the downstairs of the new wing. First up were three deep shelves underneath the stairs leading to the living room. These could have been installed earlier but he arrived with wood of the wrong colour so had to be sent back.

If schools did irony, Warwick would be top of the league – meeting the HM to discuss historic abuse

The irony referred to has nothing to do with the new Head Master of Warwick, Dr Smith but is at the foot of this article. Following lunch with my father in Shipston, Joshua and I headed back to my alma mater to discuss the sadistic abuser Geoffrey Eve and other matters.

Photo Article: What a small world as I revisit Warwick School to discuss abuse 40 years ago

The current abuse scandal of the day concerns young men from Winchester College who were beaten savagely at some Christian camp attended by the current Archbishop of Canterbury wet Justin Welby. As if to make the scandal even more at the heart of the establishment Cathy Newman of Channel 4 Fake News told us that Winchester was Britain's oldest public school. In a sort of post fact era maybe. It was founded in 1382.
